Hone Your Skills

Intermediate Fencing

Designed for fencers who have mastered the fundamentals, this class builds on basic techniques while introducing more advanced tactics, strategy, and competitive skills. Students will refine their footwork, bladework, timing, and distance through structured drills, partner exercises, and supervised bouting. The curriculum also includes tactical scenarios and an introduction to local competitions, helping fencers gain the confidence and knowledge needed to begin competing.

Each participant will receive individual coaching with an experienced instructor to provide personalized feedback, improve technical execution, and develop a training plan based on their goals.

Private lessons are strongly recommended to accelerate skill development, reinforce class instruction, and prepare for competition.

USA Fencing membership is required ($34)

High-quality, Olympic style fencing training to underserved kids!

The International Fencing Club Foundation is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing underserved children and youth in Boston and surrounding communities with access to the sport of fencing. Through high-quality instruction, mentorship, and a supportive environment, the Foundation helps young people develop confidence, discipline, resilience, and leadership skills.

Participation in sports has been shown to support academic success by improving focus, concentration, time management, and goal-setting abilities. Regular physical activity also promotes better mental health, reduces stress, and encourages teamwork and perseverance—skills that help students succeed both in the classroom and in life. By making fencing accessible to all, the International Fencing Club Foundation empowers youth to reach their full potential academically, physically, and personally.

Your generous support goes to help those students achieve their goals.
