YOUTH & JR. Competitive

YOUTH COMPETITIVE

This class is designed for dedicated youth fencers who are committed to developing their competitive skills and achieving success in tournament fencing. Training emphasizes advanced technique, tactical decision-making, physical conditioning, mental preparation, and competitive strategy through high-intensity drills, supervised bouting, and match analysis. Fencers will work to refine their skills while preparing for the demands of competition at higher levels.

Participation in local and regional competitions is required as part of the program to provide valuable competitive experience and support long-term athlete development.

In addition, each fencer is required to take one private lesson per week with a coach to receive individualized instruction, technical refinement, and personalized training focused on their competitive goals.

USA Fencing competitive membership is required $109 from August 1st to July 31st. http://www.usafencing.org.

JUNIOR COMPETITIVE

The Junior Elite Competitive Program is built for driven athletes committed to excellence in fencing. This intensive training pathway develops high-level technical precision, tactical intelligence, and the mental resilience required to perform under pressure at top-tier competitions.

Athletes train in a rigorous environment that integrates advanced footwork, blade work, and high-volume bouting with personalized coaching and performance analysis. Emphasis is placed on strategic adaptability, bout management, and consistent execution against strong opponents.

The program includes structured tournament planning, coaching support at competitions, and ongoing evaluation to ensure continuous progression.

Program Highlights:

Focus on mental toughness, discipline, and resilience

Ideal for: Highly committed junior fencers pursuing regional, national and international success.

Students must attend a minimum of 3 classes per week and take one or two extra private lessons a week.

USA FENCING MEMBERSHIP

USA Fencing is focused on our mission of fostering the growth, participation and development of domestic fencing at all levels. Your USA Fencing membership connects you to the fencing community and makes a difference in the sport.

USA Fencing membership is required by all individual members of USA Fencing Member Clubs who utilize the USA Fencing insurance program. Competitive memberships are required to compete in any USA Fencing sanctioned event (exception are Access members. They can compete in local tournament without upgrading.) The membership year coincides with the fencing season, which occurs between August 1 and the following July 31. Membership dues are not prorated at any time.

Access: $25/year
