International Fencing Club proudly celebrates an exciting showing at the Mission RYC competition held in Long Island, New York. With strong performances, determination, and sportsmanship on full display, our athletes represented IFC with excellence on the strip.

Leading the way was Lucy Karavas, who delivered an outstanding performance to capture 1st place in Y12 Women’s Saber. Lucy’s focus, speed, and tactical execution set her apart throughout the competition, earning her a well-deserved victory and showcasing the high level of training and dedication that defines IFC fencers.

In total, three International Fencing Club athletes competed at Mission RYC, each demonstrating growth, resilience, and competitive spirit. Alongside Lucy were Salwa El-Nazer and Sophia Pojoga, who both gained valuable experience competing against strong regional talent. Their efforts reflect the hard work they put in during training and their commitment to improving with every bout.

Events like Mission RYC are an important part of an athlete’s development, providing opportunities to test skills, build confidence, and compete at a higher level. We are incredibly proud of all three fencers for representing International Fencing Club with dedication and integrity.

Congratulations again to Lucy, Salwa, and Sophia—we look forward to seeing what’s next for these talented athletes!
